He obtained a degree in painting from the NAA /1915/ under Prof. Tseno Todorov. In the meantime, he took two semesters at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris under Prof. F. Cormon. He worked as a war artist, and later as a professor at the NAA. He was one of the first battle artists in Bulgarian art. Bulgarian historical scenes were present in his works, painted in the tradition of academic shape formation.

She obtained a degree in painting from the NAA /1933/ under Prof. Dimitar Gyudzhenov. She produced mostly portraits and landscapes with striking, saturated colours.
