He obtained a degree in painting from the NAA /1927/ under Prof. Tseno Todorov, and in decoration under Prof. Stefan Badzhov. His fields of work included painting, posters, literary criticism. French impressionism had a major influence on him.

He graduated from the NAA /1901/ under Prof. Ivan Mrkvička. He was among the foremost masters of portraits in Bulgarian fine art.
