He studied painting at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin under Prof. Giacomo Grosso. He specialized in Paris /1906/ under Prof. A. Tavernie. Marinov was one of the most prominent Bulgarian watercolour artists. His works have a poetic air, with an ethereal and romantic palette of colours.

He studied painting at the Odessa Art School /1933 – 1939/ under professors Shovkunenko, Frayerman and Muchnik and at the Saint Petersburg Academy of Arts /until 1941/ under professors Fogel and Stenashkin. He painted mostly landscapes and compositions with scenes from everyday life.

She graduated from the NAA /1919/ under Prof. Tseno Todorov. She lived in Paris /1927-1931/. Portrait was her preferred genre. She produced portraits, landscapes and still lifes.
Mashev, Georgi Petkov

He attended the NAA /1906-1909/ under Prof. Petko Klisurov and Saint Petersburg Academy of Arts in 1907. He was a student of the Art Academy in Brussels /1910-1911/ under Prof. Edmond Richard and graduated from the NAA /1912/ under Prof. Ivan Mrkvička. Most of his works represented allegorical figural compositions with fantasy scenes.

He graduated from the NAA /1910/ under Prof. Ivan Mrkvička. A war artist during the Balkan War /1912 – 1913/ and WWI /1914 – 1918/. In 1924, he settled in the village of Shishkovtsi /Kyustendil region/ and spent almost the entire rest of his life there. His paintings are noted for the use of pure colours, expressive deformations of nature, a sharp contrast between warm and cold tones – a characteristic emerging under the influence of Western-European Post-Modernism. His village’s locals are the main characters in his works. There is a large volume of drawings in ink and pencil, remaining from his days as a war artist.
Mihaylov, Boris Popvasilev

He graduated from the Art Academy in Florence /1892/. He produced a large body of monumental works with mural, stained glass and textile techniques. Oil-paint landscapes also occupied a position in his work, with a preference for mountain landscapes.

He attended the Vokos private school under Prof. H. Knirr /1895 -1896/. He obtained a degree in painting at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Munich /1899/ under professors Otto Seitz and Alexander von Wagner. The artist specialized at the Académie Julian in Paris and also in London. He is one of the most renowned portrait artists in Bulgarian fine art.

He obtained a degree in painting from the NAA /1942/ under Prof. Nikola Ganushev. He started a fellowship at the Repin Institute /1950-1957/. Monumental and easel painting were the main fields of his work.
