Tabakov, Ivan

*1901 1977†

He graduated from the NAA /1925/ under Prof. Nikola Ganushev. He specialized in Paris under professors A. Bernard and B. Маché. He worked in the fields of landscapes, portraits and figural compositions. Tabakov employed clear brushstrokes and a bright, cheerful palette of colours.


Tachev, Haralampi Konstantinov

*1875 1944†

He graduated from the NAA under Prof. Ivan Mrkvička. He produces landscapes, illustrations, designed banknotes, postal stamps and diplomas. He designed the Bulgarian booths at the World Exhibitions in Liège /1905/, Milan /1906/, London /1907/, etc. He designed the coat of arms of Sofia. Secession style had a major influence on him.


Tanev, Nikola Dimitrov

*1890 1962†

He graduated from the Academy of Decorative Arts in Pairs /1912/ under Mangeant and Paul Renoir. One of the most renowned landscape artists in Bulgarian art. His paintings were characterized by direct surface blending, an abundance of colour hues and light effects.


Tasev, Atanas

*1897 1991†

He attended the NAA and later continued his education in Prague /1920 – 1924/, where he eventually settled down and produced a large body of portraits of his prominent contemporaries. In 1947, he went to Sweden, and later the United States. He spent the last years of his life in Bulgaria. Tasev produced landscapes, portraits and figural compositions, reflecting urban and rural lifestyle. His works were characterized by precise brushstrokes, an impressionist manner and balanced colour palette.


Terzhumanov, Hristo

*1936 2001†

A watercolour painter. Landscapes were his preferred subject.


Trichkov, Ivan Mitov

*1892 1959†

He graduated from the NAA under Prof. Petko Klisurov. He worked mainly in the field of landscapes, exclusively naturalistically and generally with oils. Mountains were his favourite theme, which is present almost invariably in his works. His colour palette is rich, soft and intense, often with a strong emphasis on light and shade.
