He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence /1885/ under Prof. Giuseppe Charamfi. One of the founders of the NAA. He made a major contribution to the development of genre painting, portraits, still lifes and religious painting after the Liberation /1878/. Mitov also authored a number of publications on art history.
