Six poetry books were selected in the short list of nominations for the National Literary Award “Ivan Nikolov” for 2023. A jury composed of Mirela Ivanova, Assoc. Ph.D. Gergina Krasteva and Ivo Rafailov announced the nominations, chosen among 63 proposed books from a total of 24 publishing houses .

The national prize for poetry “Ivan Nikolov” is awarded for the 27th time this year. It was established in 1994 by “Zhanet 45” Publishing House. The awardee receives a plaque, made by the artist Hristo Gochev, and a cash prize in the amount of five thousand BGN.

The grand prize will be announced on December 15 (Friday) at 6 p.m. at an official ceremony in the “Dimitar Georgiev” gallery, 23 Saborna St., Old Plovdiv.
