A ceremony was held at the Dimitar Georgiev Gallery to present the Ivan Nikolov National Poetry Award.

The Ivan Nikolov National Poetry Award is being presented for the 28th time this year. Six poets competed for the prestigious award, which was established in 1994 by the Janet 45 Publishing House and is given for outstanding achievements in contemporary Bulgarian poetry.

The 2025 laureate, Vladislav Hristov, with the poetry collection “Singing Birds”, received a plaque made by the artist Hristo Gochev and a cash prize of 5,000 BGN. The jury of the competition was chaired by Mirela Ivanova and members were Kristin Dimitrova and Georgi Gochev.

The Ivan Nikolov National Poetry Award aims to promote the reading of contemporary Bulgarian poetry and meetings with contemporary Bulgarian authors.
