An international round table “European Theater at the Crossroads” was held in the “Dimitar Georgiev” gallery.
Ideas about the present of the European theater, the problems surrounding funding in the field of culture and the search for new ways of creative exchange were discused in the debate. The main goal of the annual round tables is to strengthen the interaction in the theater community, as well as to expand the dialogue with specialists from various fields.
Among the participants were Prof. Attila Vidyanski, Director of the National Theater of Hungary; Andas Kozma, playwright of the National Theater of Hungary; Dr. Sasho Dimoski; Prof. Nonka Bogomilova, Plamen Panov, Deputy Mayor “Culture, Archeology and Tourism”; Alexander Sekulov, writer and playwright; Krastyu Krastev, artistic director of Drama Theater Plovdiv; Prof. Dr. Emilia Konstantinova – head of the “Theory of Arts” department at AMDFA, Dr. Diana Andreeva – Popyordanova; Associate Professor Dr. Bilyana Tomova; Assoc. Dr. Ekaterina Kancheva – director of the Pernik Theatre; Dr. Mirena Staneva; associate professor Dr. Suzanne Harutyunyan – Vasilevska, director of Drama Theater Plovdiv, Stajko Murdjev, director.
The event is part of the accompanying program of the “Crossroads Stage” international theater festival.
