On August 30, 2024, a concert was held in the “Dimitar Georgiev” gallery by the international group of “Music without borders” and their leader, the violinist Maria Ramlchanova Ivanov.
Music without borders is an international project with participants from Austria, Bulgaria and Turkey.
Maria Ramlchanova started playing the violin at the age of four with the famous music teacher Garo Baltayan, and at the age of nine she was accepted to the National School of Music and Dance Art “Dobrin Petkov” – Plovdiv in the class of Darina Dankova. In the same year, he also debuted as a soloist with the school’s orchestra
After completing his secondary education, he began working with maestro Mario Hosen and studied at the New Bulgarian University – Sofia. In 2009, he won a scholarship for a free second major and began studying Economics. In the academic year 2010/2011, thanks to her outstanding concert activity, the university nominated her as “Student of the Year”. In 2010 she won an Erasmus scholarship and from February 2011 she studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
The violinist was a soloist of: Pazardzhik Philharmonic (2005), Opera and Philharmonic Society – Plovdiv (2006), Vratsa Philharmonic (2007-2010) and Academic Orchestra “Orpheus” (2010). She attended master classes with Kevork Mardirosyan (USA), Oleg Kraisa (USA), Micho Dimitrov (Switzerland), Ulrike Danhofer (Austria), Gérard Poulet (France), Donk-Suk Kang (France/Korea), Erich Höbart (Austria). , Sandor Javorkai (Hungary), Eli Kazakova, Nedyalcho Todorov and others.
Since 2008, Maria Ramalchanova has been an active participant in Les Orpheistes Festival Orchestra and Orpheus Academy Orchestra. In addition to being a musician, she also takes part in the organizational teams for the events held by these formations.
Martin Ivanov was born on June 9, 1994 in Plovdiv, in a family of musicians. He started playing the piano at the age of 4 under the guidance of his mother, who was his teacher until he graduated from the National School of Arts “Prof. Veselin Stoyanov” in Ruse. Since 2010, he has been a student of Oleg Meisenberg at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
The young pianist is the winner of many awards from national and international competitions. The most significant of them are: Second prize of the National Piano Competition “Franz Schubert” – Ruse, 2007; Second prize of the “Maria Yudina” International Competition – St. Petersburg (Russia), 2007; First prize at the International Competition “Hopes, Talents, Masters” in Dobrich and Albena, 2006. He participated in a number of festivals and competitions in the Netherlands, Italy, Romania, Greece, Hungary, France and Austria. He attended master classes with prominent professors and musicians such as Prof. Michael Keller (Germany), Prof. Catherine Vickers (Germany), Prof. Boris Bloch (Germany), Prof. Michel Berov (France), Prof. Tamara Poddubnaya (Russia), Prof. Atanas Kurtev, Prof. Bozhidar Noev and others.
In 2011, Maria Ramlchanova and Martin Ivanov met in Vienna and from that moment on they played together, regularly performing concerts around Austria. Inspired by their joint work, in that year, the two young performers created the “Amadeus” music school. The musicians take an active part in the concert activity of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute “Wittgenstein” in the Austrian capital.
