A book of poems by the young poet Boyka Ivanova was presented in “Dimitar Georgiev”. She read her poems together with the children from Brezovo Municipality.

The book includes 28 poems and space for illustrations that each participant can draw himself. The meeting was organized by the Municipality of Brezovo, and the book is issued by the Local Commission for Combating Antisocial Behavior of Minors and Juveniles with the aim of successful prevention.

“What better place could there be than the Dimitar Georgiev gallery, which has collected the works of the greatest classical Bulgarian artists, where children and young people have the chance to get acquainted with fine art and poetry. We have been working successfully with the gallery team for the education of children for several years and we see their cultural growth. So that we are again grateful for the opportunity to implement another initiative useful for the younger generation,” shared Antonia Stoyanova, ch. “Education and Culture” specialist in the Municipality of Brezovo.

Boyka Ivanova is 19 years old. She started writing poems from childhood. She has already published two collections of poems with a charitable purpose – “Faith in goodness”, published with the cooperation of the 6th SU in the city of Pernik in 2022, and “Lakes in Words” published by the “Multiple Sclerosis” Foundation in 2023. Since she was sixteen years old she is an assistant to her mother, who has multiple sclerosis. Her dream is to graduate in medicine. Boyka Ivanova is a winner of awards from national poetry contests: 3rd place in the National Contest “With White Legs Today” held in St. Zagora 2023, prize of the jury of the competition “Gaitani vezhdi, snaga topola” 2024 of the “Bukvit” Foundation, etc.
